Hospital forget check with plastic surgeon when schedule surgery. Plastic surgeon out of town. Mom not want get new breast from total stranger. Surgery rescheduled for the 21rst.

It's been lovely but I have to scream now.

15 year old's anti-Bush artwork interests Secret Service.

Damn, I wish I could draw right now.

It's a metaphor, people. It's about as meta as a phor can get. He didn't even draw someone hurting the president -- which would still be protected speech, last I checked. He drew someone symbolically hurting an image of the president.

Idiots. Fucking idiots. This is a death threat like me burning a picture of an origami crane is hunting. (In other words, not at all, just in case those who have trouble with metaphor also find simile a little too complicated.)

How is this not a political cartoon? It is a cartoon about politics. This is the definition of art as social commentary. This is the very heart of the first amendment, the stuff that we know for damned sure the founders intended to protect.

And the kid was punished for it. Because god knows that's what you want to do when you find a 15 year old who is actively interested in the major political issues of the day, and believes who you vote for makes a difference.
