stakebait: (Regency black and white)
[personal profile] stakebait

It turns out the person making my Regency ball dress can't get the red dupioni fabric after all. This is actually good news for me, since it means I get to go with the more historically accurate silk taffeta in a coral color. But I'm sorry for wasting your ticky box time.

I am leaning toward white trim on this one, but I am open to other suggestions.

You will look lovely, I'm sorry I probably shan't be there to see it.

D'you think this is the color they call "orangeblossom"?

That's too bad, I was hoping you could come. we should do something Regency-ish in the city even if it doesn't involve dancing, one of these days.

It could be? I have been curious about "jonquil" too -- a yellow, I assume, but which one?

White trim if you're being maidenly, gold if you want to make it more mature-looking. It'd look hideous on me -- peach is not my friend -- but I bet it'll flatter your skin tone nicely.

Thanks! I probably am being maidenly -- mostly because I already own the white trim. :)
