I love Glenn Greenwald with all my heart. I thought of emailing to tell him that, but I don't want to sound psycho. ;-) I think he just be the most sane, insightful well-informed political columnist I've seen in ages.
Ditto. I realized a few weeks ago that if I were to write someone in for President (no way; I think Obama's great and gets my vote even if he doesn't need it) I'd write in Greenwald.
I like Greenwald, but if I were going to write someone in, it would be Senator Patrick Leahy. He is one of the very few public officials who I agree with so often that on an unknown issue I'd be willing to assume his side is the right one.
For me that's Barney Frank. But it's a shame that if he's going to chair a major committee, it's got to be banking. Earilier in his career he was brilliant on social programs and almost as much so on foreign policy, the judiciary, and taxation.
