I'm back. I missed you guys. There's no way I can catch up, so if you've posted something I should see (major life events, fiction or poetry, anything you think would make me make silly noises) pretty please drop me a link in the comments or by email?

Good holidays. Had much fun with mom and [livejournal.com profile] cadhla (and [livejournal.com profile] ladymondegreen and too many other folks to list) in spite of the sinister attack turkey.

Still too numbshocked by the tsunami to say much of anything, except to send my condolences to those who have lost loved ones, and my donation check as soon as I can.

I did manage to read through the Yuletide stories in fandoms I recognize. There's a ton of good stuff there, but if you don't have time to read much, I recommend these four stories as some of the finest:

Waste Our Lights in Vain by Nifra Idril, fanfic for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet

Loving Mere Folly by Luna, fanfic for Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn

Regrets and Reminiscences by afrai, fanfic for Jane Austen's Mansfield Park

To Remember for Always by Genarti, fanfic for Susan Cooper's The Dark Is Rising

Happy New Year!

Err, I have no idea of the ettiquette of this, but you did ask:

I wrote a Spanguffy piece that made me think of you after I finished it. (Poly? Spike? Stakebait!) Don't know if you saw it, since it was right around the time you were leaving, and you're not obligated to comment. But I thought you might like it. :)

Happy late Hannukah/Christmas/New Year's! And I would like very much to know about the sinister attack turkey. *g*

Hee! Will definitely check it out as soon as I've got privacy and time. Thanks!

The sinister attack turkey sounds like a better story than it actually is, so I prefer to leave you in suspense. Because I'm mean like that. :)

My most recent posting is a request for suggestions for a scene name. I'd really like your input if you've got the time/energy/inspiration.

Otherwise, welcome back!

Hmm, I posted a poll that got an interesting range of answers:

I commented three times on the very first thread I saw about it, about a week after you started the thread and just after you went away for the holidays. They are the three last comments on this page. They're not threaded together, so I can't just link to them without having to give you three links.

Hope the info and the volunteerage helps!

PS. I also wrote two big political rants recently; if you're interested, you might want to check my journal for them (they're the two posts posted on 31dec2004 and 1jan2005).
