Am caught up through sometime on Saturday. Last read before that, mid Friday. Anything I've missed in between that I should see, would you point to in the comments? Danke.

My life in the interim: killed my lower back for no discernable reason. Went to doctor. Lay about at mom's in undignified relationships with pillows, whimpering and having her take care of me instead of the other way around like it should have been. Cramps decide to join party. Miss a day of work.

Mom got pathology report. Much but not all pain promptly eased up.

Went back to doctor. I have muscle relaxants and painkillers that don't quite cut it, and sitting hurts, so I will probably be scarce here for a while, at least until I can get to the physical therapist.

Oh, hon. That sounds dreadful. If you have to med yourself up, at least the drugs should *work*. I hope you can at least sleep without too much misery.

Good luck.

*shrugs* Tried it a couple years ago, didn't do much of anything for me. If Physical Therapy doesn't work I may give it another shot, or try accupuncture.

The ones who think they're doing something holostic don't usually work for me. (Well, amybe they all think that, but some do nothing else.) But the ones who work the muscles enough so they can move bones past each other into their natural position used to be just what I needed.

Oh man - I put my back out several years ago and couldn't even walk without a cane! I so feel your pain. ::pets you carefully::

Chiropracty worked for me, but I know it doesn't work for everyone.

Hope you feel better soon!

Ouchie! I suggest a hot bath and a heating pad to supplement your pills until you get to PT.

You know, it's a good sign that your mum's feeling well enough to fuss over you. If she were still really sick from the surgery she wouldn't be up to it.

1. Feel better.

2. I do believe that rather oddly - pain medication side effect? - you left a message for ninepatch on our machine. At least, that's what it sounded like when I played it this morning.

I wondered about that. I had a number with Ninepatch's name above it, and then heard your last name and got very confused. But I couldn't remember the last name of the people she's staying with, so I couldn't swear it wasn't the same as yours. The really weird part is that the number started with a completely different area code. I would have noticed yours. So maybe I dialed your number on autopilot? Which would make more sense if I had your number memorized.

My brain is a very strange place.
