Forgot to say thank you to my bookfriend, who sent me Brin's The Practice Effect and Sirens and Other Daemon Lovers. They were both quite lovely, especially [livejournal.com profile] tightropegirl's story in the latter.

The only thing is, I don't know who you are. I was expecting an unspecified book from my friend S. via third party purchase, so I wasn't really looking at return addresses until S. told me what she'd sent was Masters of Solitude. And by then I'd already thrown the envelope away. So who was that masked book donor? Let me thank you properly!

Also a huge thank you to Aliera, who sent me a book so secret I don't even know what it is, because I haven't picked it out yet. :)

You're a victim of a drive-by booking!

Or a mail-by booking.

;-)

(Er, it wasn't me. In case you're thinking it is.)

You're welcome.

(You claimed them when I put up lists of books I was getting rid of a few months ago.)

I think. If The Practice Effect is an SFBC edition. Otherwise, it was not me, and I redirect the thankyous to someone else.

I think so. I don't have it in front of me, but it was smallish for a hardcover, so it seems likely.

*grin* Thanks! I can't believe I forgot that! But I'm kind of glad I did, because the surprise came in the perfect time to cheer me up.
