An interesting article on Dean and the politics of butchness.

I wouldn't have said, or thought, it this way -- I would have talked about having a sense of efficacy, that we *can* make things better and not just partially prevent them from getting any worse. I would have talked about a sense of mission, of action rather than reaction, a reassuring sense that he knows the difference between pie in the sky and the reality of politics. But I think, on balance, I agree.

The bit about the sheer sexiness of a bad daddy took my brain in a whole other Angelusy direction though.
