This might be a good place to mention that cadhla wrote a full length musical version of 1984. It was almost produced in 2001, and then after September, with the political climate change it was deemed unsuitable for production.
I also know about a musical production of Geoff Ryman's Was that I would love to see. It was done in Chicago, and some friends were involved, but I never got to see the video.
