It was not as haircutty as I was expecting. I mean, you can see the layering if you're looking for it, especially in the front, but if you're not a) me or b) looking closely, it basically looks like a slightly fluffier version of the hair I had before. Which is definitely better than arrgh, my eyes, my eyes, but not quite the ideal.

I think I need to do more research in advance next time, and come with pictures. And perhaps inch up on a more style-y style, though as long as I want long and easy care, I'm kind of tying their hands. And the students are unnervingly blunt with their instructors, but it comes with a shoulder and scalp massage.

So all in all, for $18, it doesn't suck. Definitely a step up from Supercuts. Undoubtedly a step down from the kind of schnazzy salon that would do my research for me and design zee masterpiece of hair art, but I can only afford that if I give up paying the mortgage. And the last thing I want to do is go once and fall in love with a haircut I can't afford to maintain.
