A triad I know have a sailboat, which they keep at a place called a "yacht club" that, from the descriptions of the two who post to alt.poly, doesn't sound at all snobbish or limited to the rich. But the phrase "yacht club" has led to confusion and false assumptions, which "sailing club" would not.
