Also, I already have a menorah, though it's at my (non-Jewish) mother's house. Speaking of cold, it was cold! It was really, really cold. Did I mention the cold? Walking from diner to Barnes and Noble withdotsomething was much like having my nose and ears attacked by cartilage-hating elves with chisels. But I did get some holiday shopping done, along with the inevitable "it's perfect for someone, but who? Oh yeah, me" shopping.
Actually, it still is cold. But today I was a little more prepared for it, with my sexy "disintegrating babushka" look. Anybody from a culture that habitually wears large pieces of cloth (great kilts, head scarves, saris, other) wanna tell me the knack for putting them in one place and getting them to stay there?
