The Supreme Court upheld the right of Guantanamo Bay detainees to appeal in US Courts!

Okay, I thought better of it, but there was a moment there where I seriously broke out the caps lock, because whoo hoo!

Also, the case I got to see oral arguments for, Ashcroft v. ACLU, has been decided -- sort of. They sent COPA back to a lower court for a new trial. Still, good news for fans of porn and/or free speech.

Still tied up with mom, I'm afraid. She had her first chemo treatment yesterday, but there's 8 weeks to go and then another operation -- she still needs me every weekend, and the weeknights go to mindless de-stressing and errands.
