What erudite spam I get lately!
Subject lines:
"Annie, Few things are impossible to diligence and skill."
"Cate, The insolence of authority is endeavoring to substitute money for ideas"
"Britton, Nothing strengthens authority so much as silence."
I feel impelled to open them, and quite guilty for being neither Annie nor Cate, much less Britton. But once I do, they're selling Viagra. Are they trying to tap into the under-served literary women's market for erectile drugs? And why is a person with as charming a screen name as "amiable" trying to sell me mortgages under the cryptic subject heading "bernice"?
