Dec. 20th, 2005 07:07 pmI worked from home today, 'cause transit strike. Slightly to my surprise, I actually worked from home today, which is good re: my self-control and productivity, but bad in that tomorrow I must Brave The Streets 'cause I am out of useful stuff to do here. On the plus side, I no longer have to court thumb strain -- this BlackBerry may finally teach me brevity where a host of copyeditors have failed. And I get to expense a cab, if I can find one, which puts me firmly in the Lucky in my Employer camp.
Also I discovered today that I do not have the mailing address of my uncle. Yes, my actual uncle, the one who I've been sending Christmas presents to since I was old enough to hold a stamp. So if you are one of the many, many people whose phone numbers and contact info I still don't know by heart? Please don't take it personally. This is the sort of information which I do not seem to be able to retain, either in my head or on paper. Left to my own devices I would wander the busless streets, plaintively calling out your names until somebody answered.
