captainnancy's fabulous new apartment, have a floor picnic, learn the jitterbug, and contemplate arm-twisting six or so of my closest friends so we could afford one just like it.
Sunday I met up with Mom of Mer and went up to see the Gates, which I liked much more than I expected to. My basic take on Christo's stuff before this was always "huh. That's a lot of fabric wrapped around a large thing. Kay." I'm not going to say That's Not Art, but I definitely felt That's Art That I Don't Care About One Way Or The Other.
