Potential Scam Alert
Aug. 3rd, 2004 09:00 pmI just got a mass email from a place calling itself "Professional Book Writing School", from "Wambtac" Inc.
I think this is a scam. And since many of the other names on the list were fanfic authors I recognize, I think they're targeting us as a potential source of aspiring writers who may not be familiar with publishing. So if you get something similar, be leery, okay? And if you have any doubts, Writer Beware is a great resource for how to tell a phony.
( Here's why I think it's a scam, if you're curious )
