Jun. 2nd, 2004 04:12 pmMom just got her pathology results back. For having cancer, this is the best possible news. There's nothing in the lymph nodes. They couldn't even find the tumor -- apparently the biopsy got it all. The only cancer they could find was a couple spots of carcinoma in situ. We're not even sure she's going to have chemo after all -- in which case we bought seven hats for nothing. (Doesn't Seven Hats for Nothing sound like the name of an album?)
It's a grey area, apparently, and she's got an appointment Friday to talk it over with an oncologist.
I hope this doesn't mean she'll regret having the masectomy and not the lumpectomy, but either way it means I'll likely have a mommy for the long haul.
I've been having terrible lower back pain since Friday, but now it's feeling a bit better already. :)
