Jesus fuck. I go away for two hours to eat dinner and work on my Normal Again Ficathon story, and No more Angel. (Link courtesy of thebratqueen) Just like that. That just sucks, and goes on sucking.

I get the thing where shows should go out on a high note and not wait to deteriorate. I get burn out, and using up your vision, and going on to greener pastures. There was a time when I would've said give me more Jossverse on any terms and I'll take it, but no more. I wouldn't have wanted an 8th season of Buffy unless something had seriously changed. And given the decision, I actually do appreciate that they're giving ME time to craft a fitting ending. It shows they understand that this show is all about narrative arc, not just about episodes, and it means we've got a better shot at going out with a bang and not a rushed or half-assed whimper.

But dammit, this show wasn't DONE YET. There were so many stories yet to tell.

Oh, well. We'll tell them, then. But it's not the same.
