I don't think she was a ghost. I think she was real for a little while. And I think everyone saw her, since Wes and Lindsay and all interacted with her and she was able to touch stuff.
Those were tentacles and not blurred arms and me not getting the blocking? Okay that makes more sense. Yay for a specifically Angel-eater in the basement. I wonder if it likes guilt or what?
